Tuner specials

Looking for a superchips tuner for an 07 FX4 5.4L and was wondering if anyone knew of any special pricing. I did search and haven't found anything yet. When I bought from Troyer in 2004 you got discount for being a member and I think I paid 325. Like everything, things have gone up. I emailed Troyer 4 days ago and haven't heard anything. Being summer they might be on vacation. Also what model number of superchips would be for the 07 fords. Thanks

Just like the response to your post over on ford-trucks, give them a call. They are busy folks these days....

You can get into a custom tuned Xcal2 for that price - much preferred and far better results.

BTW - use the phone - you'll get much faster response.

They don't take vacations

Cheers

Do you work with the guys over at Troyer bubba? Every time I see you post something you're pushing their products. I'm sure they are great to work with and they really know their stuff but frankly your pushy, "Troyer products or nothing!" attitude is obnoxious. I find it especially odd that the average customer would know their vacation schedule .

Dear Noob Buckwheat;

No, I'm just another very satisfied customer - only one of many on this site. Perhaps a more 'vocal one', but that's well within my prerogative to be such.

Sorry I offended you - the solution, of course, is to stop reading my posts - just put me on your ignore list -please.

Their vacation schedule is public knowledge - Mike himself has mentioned several times that they haven't had one in years. Search for those if you want. Then, another 'average joe' will know it too lol.

The fact remains that custom tuning is superior to canned - and for the same cost, it's a no-brainer to most folks. My intent was to offer my opinion to the OP, while answering his question.

Also - if you haven't tried what they offer, or even talked to Mike or Anita, or Crystal or Marc on the phone then you are in no position to judge.

Finally, if you construed my post as pushy (try reading it again - where does it say 'Troyer'?) - then you clearly have comprehension issues, poncho ( thanks, Q!).

See TwinTips? I still have a job LOL!

You're right; I'm just an average Joe. I'm not trying to make any judgments on Troyer. As I said, I'm sure they are great to work with and they really know their stuff. I comprehend what you're saying just fine. I wasn't refering solely to your post here but to many other posts in other threads that I've ran across. Specifically on the topic of CAI's. As adamant as you are I just wondered if you had some sort of stake in the Troyer and if I was hearing a fair and balanced opinion.

P.S. - Thanks for all the cool new names!

Cheers,

Not knocking Troyer's work.

I see the majority of people on here have exhaust and CAI only. Few may have gone further with pullies and maybe an eFan.

I think that the TT will be more aggressive (no doubt) vs a canned Edge or even custom Edge tune but Ii think that is what is paid for, aggressiveness. I myself REALLY would like a TT XCal2 but I also want the gauging and alerts for diff temp settings. I don't want to pay x2 for both which is the only reason I opted for the Edge.

My thing is how much 'customization' will a 07 5.4L 4x4 have vs another 07 5.4L 4x4. Ok maybe some will want an assortment of octane enhanced tuning like an 93 Perf tune and an 87 Tow tune but is there really that much difference?

EDIT: I know Lightning are a specific truck made obviously for high performance and a large wheeled 4x4, but most everyday drivers I am GUESSING is a big majority on whether someone buys an Edge vs the TT XCal2.
