High lift jack???

Any suggestions out there???

A couple of weeks ago, I got a flat on the right rear. Since my tires are bigger than the spare I had to put the spare on the front and then put the front on the rear. However my factory jack barely lifted the front high enough to get my tire off. The tire wasn't even off the ground but the weight was off so I was able to work it off. I would like a higher lifting jack to carry with me in place of my factory jack. It does not have to bolt under the seat either, I can throw it in the toolbox. Your help is appreciated.

Only problem with a high lift is you need a frame point to lift. I keep a floor jack in my truck just because I don't want to mess with the stock jack.

Thanks but that isnt really what I was looking for. I had read that earlier when I searched. I guess I am just looking for a jack similar to the factory but higher lift capabilities.

Any other suggestions. Thanks.

Get a 8x8 or 6x6 block and keep it in the tool box.

I bought the hi-lift brand jack with the wheel hook straps. That way i can lift the wheel off the ground pretty easily. Problem is I need to keep a jack stand in the truck since I obviously can't remove the wheel with all the weight of the truck on the hooks. Good thing is a hi-lift jack is a pretty handy tool for all sorts of stuff.

Exactly what I was thinking.

If you're worried about it moving, take a router and clear out a shallow pocket in the block for the base of the jack to seat in. Once there is load on it, it's go nowhere to go.

I am heading to the garage and digging out my router! THAT is a GREAT idea!
