barely enough room for my finger between exhaust tips and frame. But no touching even with rear fully squatting (Sittin on bump stops)

They still need another coat of paint.. but overall, Im happy with them.

I guess they're working fine. Most of the time when I had wheelhop, it was in the rain and I was acting stupid. We'll see what happens next time I'm at the track.

How much clearance is between the ground and those ears welded to the frame?

Looks a little close for comfort. One speed bump and off the ears come. But I'm just seeing a pic, they are probably fine.

does that void your warranty welding that to your frame?

4.75"

Just about the same as the transmission crossmember. I think it is about 5"

They migh rib, but they'd just slide/scrape a speedbump if it was tall enough. They wont break off. Tig welded to the frame. You'd have to take a torch to get them off.

They barely kissed the 4-post lift whenever I back it off today. I didn't feel it, but my buddy was watching it.

Good choice on the tig welding. I've done my fair share of that.

I guess I'll be the ignorant one here...

What do they do? Is it a substitute for limited slip?

No, they help reduce wheel hop and axle wrap. Limited slip is a totally different animal.

They also cause the axle to push away from the truck down to the ground instead of wrapping and hopping = better traction. I have horrible wheel hop and axle wrap . I had to stop doing burnouts with the stock tires because I thought my U-joints were going to grenade on me.

Not true. Get a set of good traction bars and this will fix all of your problems. I'm not sure what truck your talking about doing burnouts in and having so much power that your U-joints were going to "grenade" on you but it couldn't be you 06 STX. I've got the 5.4 with an edge and an exhaust and 5" worth of blocks under my springs with no axle wrap, wheel hop.

Looks great! I wasnt worried about any patents just as long as fellow enthusiast reap the benifits. I just sent Incubus the dimensions so he can make a set.

So far it is me, you and FX4 Matt that have made them. Great Job guys!
