Exhaust Time
yup I wanted one five inch tip. Im an old school trucker lights and big pipes. I am thinking of either a dynomax performance SS muffler or like a FM 50 HD SUV/truck one. Wheres that little red truck with small mirrors I though I read he went with a FM 50 I wonder how he likes it. Anyone know how much louder a super 40 is over a 50?

i got mine at summit for 39 bucks! Best money I ever spent. Before I had a flowmaster super 40 system and was very unhappy with it. It was quiet, didn't sound aggressive, and the performance was ****ty(but i still beat pat with it
) but thats besides the point. I high centered my truck and tore the muffler off(it was a dump) and broke my charcole canister. After that and hearing pat's bullet I decided to go that route. Once I got the muffler installed I was overly impressed by the performance and the sound. It is a very aggressive nascar sounding muffler is the way my friends put it. After about a week of breaking in it really opened up and the sound is absolutely amazing. I get compliments all the time and couldn't be happier with it. Like I said in a previous post, I would rather pay someone $100 bucks to take me out back and beat the chit out of my with a Louisville Slugger than buy another flowmaster muffler. Thats how I feel, those are my results, and thats my opinion. Each to his own, but i will never own another muffler from flowmaster again. If someone gave me one I would throw it in the trash because thats exactly what they are, trash.

Ethan,
I know you don't want any drone or it to be too loud. I really don't think any Dynamax Bullets are going to help. LOL! Why not just look into a Magnaflow exhaust system. I don't think you're going to be disappointed with it. I almost wish I would of just done a SI/SO system. .
Thanks!

Here's your set-up! Cheap also, and sounds great!
I have the SISO Flowmaster 50 Series. All we did was cut out the stock muffler, weld in the 50 Series, and shortend the tail-pipe to make room for the tip to be welded on. Total Cost $125, and some change!
Barely hear it in the cab at Highway speeds, it talks to you a little under acceleration but not overkill. Has a great sound outside of the truck. I wasnt very happy with the muffler at first..... Thought it was to QUIET, until I was outside and my wife took it to the store and I got to listen to it as she drove off... NICE!''
Just added a K&N CAI and that opened up it up a little more. Slightly more aggressive under acceleration. STILL PERFECT!
Tom
ps: Good Luck feeling any kind of performance gains from a Cat-Back Sys. The gains are minimum, and not very noticable on the street. Exhaust are more for the sound IMO. I have had several different brands/types over the years.

I didn't see the part in your original post about no drone. I would def go with a Magnaflow setup then. I'm sure you've read numerous posts on exhaust as have most of us so I don't think there is reason to justify why that would be my decision.
