Talking More Mods!!

Another round of mods down and out of the way!

I replaced my Carpet Catch-Alls with the WeatherTechs Front and Rear mats. The dealer ended up messing the Carpet Catch-Alls so I'm going to keep them so if the truck ever has to leave my hands, they'll be in there. LOL! My impressions are that these mats are built to last, perfect fit as well. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. . other than the price of course. They also do fit with a www.supercrewsound.com box under the rear seat if anyone is wondering.

I ordered a S&B CAI from www.inmotionperf.com and had a little trouble with Fed-Ex getting it here. Eventually after countless phone calls, finally got someone to give me a direct number to someone at corporate. None the less they were pretty upset that I got the number but had a subcontractor come out and deliver my package at 8:30 at night! I got it on that night. Power gains are definitely noticeable, even over the Airaid Jr intake. Quality is amazing, fit was perfect. I'm also completely happy with this purchase. I'm glad I waited until I could find the perfect intake for me.

I also got the dyno tuning done. www.VMPTuning.com did the tuning. It took about 2 hours so that wasn't too bad. I'm COMPLETELY impressed with the tune. Much better throttle response than the Edge, better driveability, more torque and power as well. Not to mention, now my torque converter doesn't lock and unlock over and over going down the highway. I couldn't be happier with the tune.

Lastly July 10th, Precision 4.88s and a MagTech cover will be going in. . I'll post pictures soon as I get the truck back but now for some pictures!!

Green is the Edge on Level 3. The Blue is Vmps tune.

I forgot to add. My A/F with the Edge on Level 3 with the S&B was 12.5 and 14 with stock programming.

That alone would be worth it. My TP Xcal2 does it and it drive me nuts! It feels like my transmission is breaking and even people riding with me think something is wrong with my truck. I can actually hear the metal thunk of it.

I'd ask TP to fix it, but I was initally told it's supposed to do that and I don't feel like arguing the point.

haha the tires fit a lot better on the rollers than I expected thats for damn sure. It's cool though, it's not your fault FedEx can't deliver a package.

I actually talked to someone who was working there who was willing to build me a set of single tubes, like I wanted, for a good deal. So we'll see.

I have the same (S&B CAI) for my 4.6L. It is the model 75-7520

I was not happy at first since I heard a buzzing but now it is queit (buzzing) and makes the noise it is supposd to. The more I listen to it, the more I like it.

Im actually impressed with the Edge #'s as well...... seeing that it is a canned tune, those arent bad numbers. What were your numbers when it was stock?

I was waiting for this, actually. I was going to do it but it's supposed to be raining until Tuesday. I live on a dirt road so theres NO sense in that.

The numbers are fine on the Edge, look at the power curve though. I'm not biased since I've had both. I'd take a custom tune over the Edge any day of the week. The truck feels like it actually has power. The Edge made me feel like it was tweaking the computer to all ends of the world and about to blow apart on me! I'm trying to see if Justin still has the stock run on his computer so he can send it to me. I'll post it up when and if I get it.
