Question painted/powercoated rims?

has anyone ever painted/powercoated their ford rims? if so can you guys send me pics of them because i am thinking about doing mine...? thanks a bunch

I've heard good things about these guys with powder coating. I'll be sending my 93 Cobra rims to them this summer.

Check my gallery. I have since sold these to another member on here. Process was easy and very affordable.

Powder coating would be better for an entire rim, more durable, but I painted the spokes on mine. Pics in gallery.

aww your welcome,

i am going to put pics of my truck on here soon, i just havent had time
i was wanting some advice on my rims on how i should paint them

I just couldn't take the faded grey look of the spokes on a black truck. I used Krylon engine paint. The one I used has teflon in it, but doubt that makes a difference. Took me most of a Saturday to tape them off, lightly sand, and wipe down with enamal reducer, then spray. Made all the difference in the world to me. Every time I take it to the dealer for an oil change, it gets good comments. They have held up well to pressure washing, etc, I use a spray wax when I wash. Everyone likes them except Stealth, and he's just jealous because he didn't have the idea first.(We live in the same small town and have identical trucks)

Thats why I love this forum. Everybody jokes around and come up with some awesome ideas.
