Solid 19 mpg
Solid 19 mpg
Did a mileage check this week, got a solid 19mpg on the truck. 2005 XLT 4x4 Scab.
Now I did drive with a very light foot, but this was in traffic both on highway and some in the city.
Tomorrow will be taking a 3-hour highway drive, should be able to do a steady 55-70 pace the whole way, very little stopping. Hoping to make 20 or better.
Yeah, it's no economy champ, but who cares? It's nice and big, has everything I want , and carries anything I ever need to. Plus, I feel a lot safer in it than I would in anything smaller. Been looking at the Ford-vs-others videos, there are definite reasons why the F-150 is the most popular vehicle sold!

Those videos are really excellent, wish they would get out to more people so everyone could see the comparisons! Bet it would help sales if more people knew about them.
Best I ever get in my '04 is 14.4mpg in the spring/summer months. Goes down to 12 in the winter.

Wow I could only wish.. I got 13 MPG my last road trip pulling a small 5x10 open trailer with 2 race bikes. My buddy was pulling a 27 foot toy hauler and was getting like 7-8 MPG with his Titan. Got a good laugh on the way back when his truck died. Something in the rear end let go.
