Exactly right. Works the same way on my F-150, Escape, Town Car, daugheer's Park Avenue and even my BMW motorcycle.

What cancel button? I have the following buttons;

*on/off
*resume
*cst/set

In that order, on the left side of the sterring wheel...

I don't have a cancel button either, that's a toyota / other manufacturer thing, I think.
I've got:
LEFT----------------RIGHT
ON-----------------RESUME
OFF-----------------SET
--------------------COAST
