I got 4.56's with 38's, and it feels like stock.

Other than fuel economy, I don't really see any disadvantages to having more gear. As long as your motor still makes good power at the higher RPM's which is where the OHC 4.6L and 5.4L thrive vs. the old pushrod 5.0L and 5.8L engines.

Before I got boosted, i was making 21mpg city and highway driving. My city mileage actually increased over my 3.55 gears.

A DIY job?

I'd say between $1,200-$1,800 with parts and labor.

No it's not a DIY. Parts are about $800 so it's not worth it to screw it up.

East side or west side (I'm hoping FAR west )

How long did it take them? Any problems so far?

Nah no problem so far. It's actually closer to the westside, northeast El Paso. If you want I could Pm you the number so you could call them and see what he could do for you. My buddy knows the owner so thas how I got them for 850 I think regular is 1,000 thats still better than 4wheelparts they wanted 1200+ It took the guy about 3.5 hrs to do the job

Did you need a reflash? 4WD? What was the damage for parts and install? I have 3.73's and wish I had a little more myself.
