Just got back form a 3600 mile family vacation and am pretty happy with the mileage I got on the trip. Worst tank of gas I still got 13.0 mpg and that was while driving through the Smokey mountains. Best tank of gas I got 16.9 mpg and that was straight highway driving. For the entire trip I averaged 15.2 mpg and I can definitely vouch for Shell gas, I got my best mpg's when I filled up with it vs other gas.

That may not sound like alot, but don't forget I have the 6" lift and 35's. Looks like I lost about 3 mpg on the highway and 2 mpg in the city by adding the lift and tires.

The winter blend of gas killed me. but now that things have changed I'm probably back around 14-15 city. This winter I was around 12 on a good day.

Recently heading to the Tx hill country I averaged 17.5 mpg and I was driving 75-85 for the magority of the trip. For a 5500 lbs beast that aint too bad. Better mileage than my v-6 dodge dakota got

I know it's not a competition, but I get 10.5 city and about 13 on the freeway. If I drive reeeaally nice, I can get 11 in the city. Freeway speeds are never faster than 75

That's really bad in my mind, but perhaps you have mods and I'm not seeing them yet...

With my 2007 4.6 V8 Engine, I am averaging about 20 MPG. everyone should get 19-21 MPG with the 4.6l as long as they don't drive like Maniacs

Man I wish I could get mileage like you guys, best I've ever gotten is 15.5 on the highway. I guess if I could get my right foot to go on a diet it might help as well.

Also, I always end up pulling a trailer sometime during the week so that skews the data more. Oh well what do you do?

I get a constant 13.8MPG mixed driving... I'm so ready to sell after only 6 months for a car. This was such an impulse vehicle purchase that I regret every time I fill up. Too bad the trade in is ridiculous.

That's right, I forgot. I can't even compare my truck to an 04-07 model because of that. That third valve created better mileage and 40 more engine hp. Even though the newer trucks are a little heavier, obviously it wasn't enough weight to offset the power and mileage increases.
