Throttle Body
Throttle Body
I'm new to this so any help would be great. I have a 07 150 FX4 with 4100 miles. I brought it in to the dealership about 1000 miles ago for an oil change and also because the truck would buck when you would step on the gas pedal. The dealership told me the throttle body needed to be replaced. They went ahead and did it and the truck was ok but the problem is starting up again. Anyone have any idea what would be causing a problem with the throttle body or causing it to buck the way it does. ANy help would be great.
I'm not buying the throttle body. I read here somewhere that the transmission has a learning curve, depending on how you drive.
I notice my truck stays in lower gears longer after towing the bobcat. After a while without, it accelerates faster. The trans would benefit from firmer shifts. Ford seems willing to fry the clutches instead of tighten it up.
I also noticed in the morning that it is jerky in the morning when it just starts. You can hear there must be an auto choke.
