Okay all ford techs or anyone with experience with OBD code P2106. My truck battery died, the milelage was 33,000 so I figure it is under warranty I will take it in and get a new one. It took two hours but finally got a new battery. I leave to go to work and the check engine light comes on as well as the wrench. I check the edge and it says code P2106 throttle body. I take it back in they replace the throttle body, and reflash the computer and they are saying it is the same code. They then call me and ask me stupid questions about my alarm, my alarm has been installed since the truck had 500 miles on it. My question is, is there any possible way that it could be the alarm, and second what else should they do to fix the problem?

 

Just to give you an update, the stealership called and they need to replace the ecu or pcm, they put it into another truck and got the same code, they could not reprogram it. They think that when they installed the new battery there was a spike or short circuit. Good thing it is under warranty!!!
