New to forum - Spark Plug Concern

About three weeks ago I found a 2004 F-150 with only 2400 miles, the guy had retired and really didn’t drive the truck much. (Understatement) The truck is still under warranty so I was able to get the Ford ESP warranty for peace of mind.

Here is my question; the well talked about spark plug problem. So, should I replace the plug now, is the likely-hood of breaking a plug less cause of the low mileage. If I do change them and they happen to break could I have the dealer extract the broken plug by following the steps onlined on the TSB, will the warranty cover this?

Or, should I forget about the whole thing and enjoy my truck…..

Thanks to everyone in advance…

Al

Folks that changed them before 30,000 miles have not had any problems with them sticking/breaking as long as they followed the TSB to the letter. I wouldn't worry about it before then. Ford won't cover them if you break them or they break them. Ford is steadfastly ignoring this problem because if they acknowledge it, then they will be admitting a mistake and they don't want to be liable for the cost of fixing this. I'll be changing mine out before 30k myself.

Solid and trusted.
I've always liked pugs. They are great little dogs. Haven't heard of the Motorcraft F1 breed though, must be new.

My friend had one. His name was Sparky.
