Lowering the rear. ????s

My cousin just got a Mark LT and wants to lower the rear a couple inches.

I bought lowering shackles for my truck a LONG time ago, so I'm familiar with them. My questions are:

Are pinion shims needed on a SCREW? I didn't need any for my regular cab and I *think* I remember people saying they were only needed with the extended cabs...not SCREWS.

What is the cheapest set of shackles to buy?

Back when I got mine they were about $70-$75.. was wondering if there was any cheaper.

Thanks
Khendrix.

I have the shims on my 05 supercrew. They came with my GF shackle kit so I put them on. I have a 2 piece driveshaft. I think I got mine from Summit racing.

Thanks stealth.

I didn't want to tell him what to order and then end up with a vibration. I wanted to be sure.

Shoot me a price and I'll talk to him about it.

Also, I had about 5 people email me wanting that spreadsheet.... for some reason, I can't send it. I'll try again though. I remember trying to send it to you though.

I sent you a PM about the shackles. I updated my email to make sure it wouldnt be the problem if you get a chance to resend that spreadsheet. If it doesnt work, thanks for trying.

I've tried 10 times to send the file. tried two difrent email accounts. It won't send the file to anyone. I don't understand it. It's un-emailable!

I have windows messenger.. maybe I can send it though that.

I didn't talk to him about it today. I'll try to call tommorow though ans see what he want to pay, if he wants to buy used, or what.

My 05 SCREW has a 1 piece driveshaft with 2" eibach drop shackles no shims and no vibe.

I have the 2 piece drive shaft but did not want to take any chances, so got the Ground Force kit with shims. Never a vibe, smooth as can be.
