FX2 Sport

This would've been pretty cool if Ford had gone this route.

Saw that truck at SEMA last year and it was pretty cool but easily duplicated yourself with the whipple, suspension, and wheel/tire combo.

Couldn't be happier-getting farther away from stock every day.

I'm checking on all your posts now to see what all you have done. Very nice truck!

I just ordered an 07 yesterday. SCrew Sport black on black and have been searching the web for different mods to get ideas as to what I can do.

Awesome to see that you've gone out there and done about the same as I would.

Quick question for you.

What would you suggest for first round of mods?

TIA

depends on if you want to go faster or go right for the appearance mods. If you are ever planning on supercharging I would hold off on the intake/tuner deal. I started with 2" shackle, tint, and stereo. Then exhaust, supercharger. Then wheels/tires, and suspension and soon to come brakes. Wont be long before you are sucked in too.

I've been sucked, blown and tickled.
This is what I currently own....

So you could say I want to go fast eventually. I am more interested in audio and exhaust at the moment and will more than likely go the supercharger route again. I ordered the truck with the Audiophile 6 disc CD changer but plan to swap that out for like a Pioneer Z2 or something similar.

Which brakes are you planning on? I have RUSLOW rotors on the front and RotorPros on the back with hawk pads. Both are slotted and dimpled as well as painted black.

Also why the Magnacharger? I was thinking along the lines of the Saleen blower for a more stock/stealth look.

Also I noticed you went with shorty's over long tube headers and you appear to be running a Lightning style exhaust over just running the exhaust out both sides of the rear. With out the running boards it looks SHARP!

Also what are you thoughts on having the stock throttle body taken off and ported/polished? I haven't seen a pic of one yet to determine if it would be a benefit or not.

Thats a damn nice harley! Yea after going from that you are going to be seriously disappointed with the new trucks performance. I went from a '05 GT with 2.6 KB on it making well over 500 and then to my truck and I was pissed-haha. I am looking at the Wilwood 16" 6 piston front kit but have not decided yet-I know its overkill but looks are important to me too.

I am a dealer for magnacharger so the price was right.
I also have the Pacesetter LT's and not shortys and have since changed the entire exhaust to true duals w/ hi flows dumped before the axle.

I would leave the throttle body alone bc these 3V's are finicky and the stock tb will really not pose much of a restriction for the power levels the stock motor can handle.

Ahhh, I thought the Pacesetters were shortys. So you have LT's, stock cats?, dual in/dual out with Magnaflow muffs exiting "L" style?

How do you like the sound? what size diameter is the exhaust, reason I ask is that I have a set of Maggy high flow cats sitting in my shed that I was saving for the HD. If they willl work on this truck then I will keep them.
Actually how many cats are on the stock set up? Please say 2 and not 4! lol

I agree at stock power level a different t-body would be a waste of time that why I figured a port/polish (cheaper) would be a way to go.

Wonder how much one of them Magnacharger's go for...

Thanks for the compliments on the HD, I know I'm going to miss it. I've missed my 2000 Lightning, my 2003 Mach 1, my 92 GT and now this.... Sheesh.

Brakes, anyone try the EBC's?

So with that the first things to get done would be.

1. Tint
2. Exhaust
3. CAI (stay with a cheaper one, in case supercharging later)
4. Retune (any kind of tuner out there worth while? HP/TQ wise???
5. Audio, entertainment system.
6. Lowering kit (front and rear)

This may help on your decision on brakes

http://www.nhtoc.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=24731

Also the gauge pod where did you find that?

What size MAF is on this thing? I noticed somewhere was mentioned that an upgrade would be required. I assumed that Ford went and stuck with the 90mm after the 2000 Lightning.
