alarm/remote start brain location - behind the seat?

My next add-on will be an alarm system, after realizing how much money I have sunk into other mods . I remember from putting the amps behind the seat in my SCREW that the brains for the factory keyless was located there. Would that be a good location for the alarm brain, and just tap into the connections there?

Thanks as always,

you can, but in order to make the remote start work and also to get power for the alarm, you will have to run wires to the ignition. the bcm is back there for door triggers, lock wires, dome light wire. the ignition/accesssory/starter wires are all up front at the steering column. it would be a pretty involved and stealth install though! but lots of wires to run to the front.
