I'm with other people on here and drive with 2 feet which I learned from my early days of go kart racing. People think it's weird but I sure can brake fast and get on the gas fast considering a foot is always by one of the pedals. I imagine it would be easier on the ankles.

I don't bend my ankle to brake. I pivot my foot over from the gas with my heel in the same spot on the floor, using my leg. Every vehicle I've had has the same heel wear spot on the floormat.

Well, the only time I ever do the two foot thing is when I'm at a red light and want to take off quickly. Brake foot goes off as the gas is going in

I'm with you and the others on this one. I'm a two foot driver. I'm used to driving manual tranny's and having to use both feet plus I feel I have better control this way.

Stick: Left foot for the clutch, right foot for brake/gas

Auto: Left foot for brake, right foot for gas

when driving any vehicle: left foot flat on floor when not in use.

I've got the adjustables, got pics of your pedal?

I've often wished the F-150 had foot rest for the left foot like my Mustang does. It's angled similar to the position of the gas pedal and very comfortable during long driving stretches.

I couldn't agree more... I wonder how much work it would be to fabricate something like that ..??..

It is in weird spot, I had always driven GMs and the brake is closer to the gas, when I get in our GM worktruck the brake is in the right spot, get back into my truck and the brake is off to the left too far (centered on the seat). My pedal is wore right through on the bottom right cause thats the only place my foot hits. I do have adjustable pedals it makes no difference.

I noticed the same thing, pedal too far to the left.

Left foot braking is good. I do it. It's not for everyone though. (read stupid people)

My mom's friends BMW is that way. I drove it to the store & back the other day, 20 min drive. My ankle was killing me. I've never had that happen in any other car.

I was doing a search for foot rest when I came across this post. It was bugging me on my new (to me) 06 so I tried using a couple of 2x4 pieces that are about 4 & 6" long that are screwed together in a staggered manner. They are on the floor against the kick panel.

I was just doing it to see if that was what I was looking for and it worked great ! The seating is very confortable now. Your feet are at the same length instead of the left one sticking out there like a peg leg pirate.

Now I just need to either find something or just carpet these and keep using them. Summit has them.

Hopefully they are attached so they don't slide over under your brake pedal.

Yes, these trucks really really need a dead pedal!!

I never drive anything with an automatic using both feet. Unless I am doing a burnout, which I no longer get to do(damn AWD, its a joy and a curse). But I drive truck and I use both feet, right foot for the go pedal and the brake when coming to a stop, left foot for the clutch and the brake when downshifting.

Maybe you had your shoes on the wrong feet?
