I know that several folks have commented on and/or complained about the higher bed walls and how difficult it can be to just reach over the side to get something out. Well, it looks like an unobtrusive and functional product may now be available. This part was listed as *new* on F150store.com. That price looks good, too. Amp research has a product similar to that. It goes in the rear and comes from under the rear bumper and out to the side to aid in stepping up onto the tailgate to get into the bed. But this one isnt a power step like the rest, its manual.

But most of the complaints I read here on the forum pertained not to being able to step up on the tailgate, but more of the trouble with reaching over the bed wall to get something lying in the bed ... especially near the front of the bed where a toolbox would normally be placed. All good info regardless.
