XLT Console Storage

I just bought an XLT console from Ebay. It came in today and after work, I put it in the truck. I like all of the extra storage, but how do you organize anything? Its just a big hole. Has anyone or the after market come up with some ideas to make compartments in this storage area?

Reasons for the center console: With only 8k in miles, my flipdown was stained and I want to put a DVD changer in the truck. I didnt have easy space to do so without the big console.

If anyone wants to know, I paid $203 to the door. Got a little carried away with the bidding, but its mine now.

I added the console to my truck as well. I haven't really figured out how to organize it yet either -- like you said, it's kind of just a big hole that you throw stuff into. Someday I'll get creative and figure out how to make it a more useable space.......

Something like this would work. Its just basic tacklebox containers.

the best thing about the XLT console is the hidden space in the very front.. reach down there, pull up on the front of the carpeting and there's a nice little hidey-hole..
The thing sure does hold a mighty amount of cd's and various little tools / junk tho.. more than makes up for the tiny joke of a glovebox..

There was a guy on here awhile ago that used 1/4" masonite I think... He cut 4 interlocking pieces and made 6 little compartments in there. Ill try to find the thread for you.

I bought one of these for 97 cents at Wal-Mart. Fits perfect and organizes my junk.

I got mine off ebay for $195 to my door. I love the thing as my 20 seat console top fabric was getting nasty looking.

The xlt console does have a bottomless pit of storage, but that's how I like things, organized disorganization.

Got my simple screw/nail/nut/washer organizer from Home Depot for $2.49 ... could easily stack three complete cases if needed inside the console.

I bought a little square cubby at wal-mart that fits in the front area (under the cup holders) and I keep all my small stuff in there. Then I still have a whole area available for big stuff (mag lite, etc.)
