Do your existing wheels have a clearcoat finish? Be careful about partially refinishing anything with a coating already on it. You can of course strip and powdercoat your spokes, but the remaining chrome on the wheel might not hold up to the curing temps of the powdercoat. I've seen chromed parts turn yellow and hazy after going thru the curing oven, typically 400 deg for about 15-20 mins. You'll be OK if you don't have clearcoated wheels.
