Smile Lake trip pics

we got to head up to Devils Fork state park at lake Jocassee in South Carolina for the weekend to do some camping. also got to take my boat out and take out the jet skis for the first time ths year. we've been here several times, but with the boat this time, we could try the "boat-in only" camp sites which were really nice and secluded.

beautiful mostly undeveloped mountain lake:

puttin the ole truck to more good use:

brought up the newer 650 and the fx1 this time:

looks like a blast smokin, you have yourself a few badass ski's. I have some pics from my lake trip this weekend too. I bought a 650sx w/new aftermarket heads, stainless impeller, aftermarket bilge pump, aftermarket tailcone, ride plate, finger throttle, bored out carb and bigger butterfly...the thing keeps up with my buddy's modded 750. It's an 89, love it.

Camping 1
Camping 2 (have to ride the ski into the bed until I get a trailer)
Camping 3 (thats the new sportz tent on the bed of my truck).

How fast do your ski's go? The problem with the ski I asked you about was shreds of silicone underneath the diaphram needle. The diaphram was unable to pump gas into the cyl. Thanks for the help again. I'm jealous, your lakes look insane.

nice pics josiah, looks like you had a fun weekend too. yeah that ski of yours should move pretty nicely with those mods. that 650 we took is a 93 and has the aftermarket exhaust, stainless impeller, K&N flame arrestor and finger throttle. we have a stock '88 650 and the difference in power is huge.

the fx1 has the same mods but i dont think we put the impellor on it.

im not sure about the top speeds but the fx1 is a good bit faster than the 650. but its light so it tends to jump a bit. when its on really calm water it really moves.

the 750 sxi we have will top out way faster than any of them but the low end is not as good as on the fx1. the 750 has the Factory Pipe ss dry pipe, after market head, carb, K&N, stainless impellor, finger throttle, u name it. we finally got it back from being improperly tuned last year and i cant wait to try it out. i didnt take it this time because its not exactly a "learner" ski lol.

anyway heres to many more fun lake trips

I love those boat in only camp sites and beaches. Usually fairly hidden not to mention nice and quiet. Of course I HATED them before I bought a boat. Does make me worry about my truck sitting all night at the boat ramp though.

looks like you had a great time! Can't wait till summer break starts in two weeks. One of perks of being a teacher.

FX4 is the 4wd model produced by Ford.
FX2 is a 2wd model produced by Ford.

The Black truck pictured above is a creation of Smok][n. An extremely awesome creation I might add.
