How to remove....

How to remove....

How can I remove this top trim. I need to drill into the black area and I am required to remove this trim first. TIA

looks like you might have to take every piece out from the bottom

First you have to pull off the panel around the shifter, then there is two screws under that panel you need to pull to get that panel off. You may also have to remove the console lid at the hinge.

i dont belive thats a floor shift console, i think thats the ebay version that people like to buy but i could be wrong.

let me take a few more pics when I can step away from my desk to show what I have done so far. FYI, it is not a flow through but rather an XLT console.

Since it is an XLT console, you pull off the front panel (where the cup holder is) to reveal the two screws. The top section is the same on both consoles (I know I've had both)

This is what I have done so far. I am now to remove the two bolts shown in first pic?


P.S. My car is NEVER this messy :-)
