Yesterday it was a motor vehicle accident involving a child who was struck by a vehicle.

No, I was right underneath it getting my wash...rotor wash of pebbles and dirt to the face. I used my Treo700 to capture these

That's what I was thinking too, the blades look strange, lot's of flex or it's optical illusion by the camera. Wonder what the pilot would say if he seen this picture. Hope the child is doing fine!

the 'curved' blades are definitely an optical illusion. See how the opposite blades make a U shape? its' not possible that the blade bends behind the rotation on one side and into the rotation on the other side of the circle of motion.

that is one chopper you do not want to ever have to ride in
