Talking Got my truck back!!!!!!!!

They finished it up today, and I had a nice test drive home. First time driving it for a month and first time since the intercooler install. Brand new engine, idles smooth as butter compared to the other one. Engine is MUCH quieter idling from under the hood, no diesel sound. The intercooler changes the programming quite a bit, the supercharger engages anytime you accelerate so you get a smoother transition from off to on power. Before it would take about 1/2 throttle and then click on and bam, you got power......now it is just seamless pretty much. The supercharger whine is a LOT quieter, a combination of the correct amount of fluid in the S/C gearbox, and the intake is routed to cooler air instead of having an open filter with the heat blocking box. I'm gonna go wash it now.......

Matt,
Did you ever find out what the deal is with the smaller pulleys that roush offer? If they really will put you over or at 500 then i will probably buy the roush kit.

Glad you got it back...

Is the engine stock? Or did you put forged pistons and connecting rods in it?

you lucky dog...so do you have any DYNO #'s and charts for us?

and is that a stock 3v, or a forged one with cams and headwork?

What happened was explained in another thread somewhere...... Basically the #5 cylinder was destroyed from a previous injector failure. Started running rough here recently and ended up being a complete miss, due to a hole about the size of a dime in the side of the piston and all of the rings destoyed. Ford put in a brand new complete engine and footed the bill of all parts, I had to pay labor. The engine is a stock 3V just as it was before. I can't explain how great this thing runs now. It is totally different. The intercooled roush is definitelly a sweet setup. 1/4-1/2 throttle and it is a very smooth strong power, with like 0-2 psi, changes gears low and pulls nice. Put your foot in it and I have easily 8psi right now and it is still pretty hot out. The S/C is very quiet compared to before. Look at my vids and you can hear how loud it was. You can barely hear it now, more of a sleeper really.

Thats great news, now lets hope all is well for now on.

My truck was supposed to be done today as well but the alignment guy left the dealer earlier and didn't realize he had one more truck to do! But, than they decided to drive it around the parking lot a little to make sure everything was normal and a CEL popped up. I'm kind of worried, hopefully it has something to do with them swapping the frame and it's something stupid. Hopefully not something serious. .

Glad you got it back. I noticed the absebnce of whine too. I thought it was b/c of the long tubes I added and better exhaust flow. Anyway, congrats. Mine is at teh tune trying to sort out my miss problem.
