iPod volume problem...

I have an iPod that I occasionally use with my 06 Scab. I have one of those FM transmitters that I connect my iPod to to play through my speakers. My problem is that I have to crank the volume all the way up on both my iPod and the head unit in order to get the volume to just a normal level.
My system is just the stock 6 disc changer and speakers.
Anything I can do to fix it?

Check and make sure the sound check option on your iPod is OFF. Go to the main menu and I beleive it is under settings. That should help you out, it happend to me. If not let us know

If you do turn the sound check option off, you should turn your volume on your ipod down a little to avoid distortion.
