Out in Plano, Tx, you should turn your 4x2 into a prerunner, and you'd have way more fun offroading/desertrunning!

7.3 might be a good motor but at least you know a little about your truck. You don't know the background on this. Look at this forum...I have read a zillion times about someone trading their truck in because its a pile. I have several friends with 7.3's and I get to hear about all of the stuff that is wrong with their truck like cam postiion sensors and blown fuel pumps and misc electrical probs. Do your homework and if you buy it make sure you have some cash put away.

Go spend a $1k on mods for your current truck and forget about that 250.

If I had both trucks offered to me, I'd take the F250. Without question.

Reasons?
Supercrew > Supercab
7.3L > 4.6L
Lariat > XLT
4x4 > 4x2

That's all I'll say.

Keep in mind you're going from the new truck to the old style, old front end, old interior, more miles, and the price is too high.

If your 4x2 don't get it done for you go with the F250.

80000 is nothing for a diesel. If you're hauling some heavy loads then I'd say switch but that would be the only reason. Super Dutys are designed for hauling and towing while the F150 is more for looks, light off roading and wanting a car type atmosphere with an option for towing. It sure would be nice to have that 7.3 though. Remember, you'll probably have a higher interest rate with an older vehicle as well but that may not be important to you. I didn't see if you have miles listed but if it's not at 36k then I'd say no way and drive yours until the warranty is over then think about switching.
