Another vote for the Flex Fans here. I would not say that the controller is junk just mount it away from heat sources and you will not have a problem. I have had the fans about two years now with the same controller no major problems.

Hi.

Check here: http://www.spalusa.com/

Another great source: http://www.dccontrol.com/

Good stuff - great controllers, great fans. The 'water-worthiness' is a function of the ENTIRE install - while the controller is weatherproof, and the fans are sealed, if any relays, fuse holders, wiring, etc is not, then it won't matter. Plus - you really have to immerse your system ( Like Field Tester Extraordinaire Josiah ) to harm it.

Most folks don't do that. A high speed fan dunked in water while spinning is gonna break. That's why the install needs to take the intended use into consideration. In this case, manual cutoff switches would be a REAL good idea LOL!

A bulletproof install using quality components & 'best-practices' wiring can result in a reliable system.

Yes. With an accessory add-on relay. The first fan is soft-start - the second is on/off only.

Have a look-see at the downloadable manual from the link I provided above. There are really good connection diagrams in there for all the various install alternatives ( single fan /dual fan, etc).

Figure an easy $100 for the controller, but it's really built like a tank. (I have one courtesy of a fine member on this site ).
