seems like a bad idea to me. Unless your truck is a dedicated 4x4 only that probly won't see any street. but hey, it's your truck.

A bobbed bed is actually a shortened bed, not just removing the bumper and hitch.
Here's a pic of a truck w/ 14 inches cut out between the rear fender wells and the tailgate.

this is a better example of a bobbed bed. notice how the frame got cut immediately after the rear leaf mounts.
That 1st truck isn't bobbed. it has some pre-runner stuff on i though.
