Hey Bestnxt...are you planning on going with nitto muds when you get those 38s? How do you think that wide of a tire will ride? Do you think it would be alright to fit 37's with that pro comp with trimming? I know its possible but not reccommended

I'm not sure of the ride but im gonna do it anyways. I'm going to go with the Micky Thompson Baja Claws or the Baja ATZs. Nitto Muds only come in 37/13.50 thats the largest size they offer now. With any 6" lift on an 04+ F150 the largest tire I would recommend is a 35". Anymore than that your going to have some serious rubbing especially with your 10" wide wheel and backspacing. You could go with your pro comp lift and the 2" bilstein 5100's. I think you should be able to get away with 37's with no rubbing with just some minor trimming with lift and bilsteins.

Devin, I couldn't find it either. It must have already sold. I saw it a couple days ago by searching "04 F150 lift" and it popped up there. If I see it again anytime soon, I'll let you know.

Question for ya guys...
Say i get the fabtech with coilovers for $2000 and put a 3inch bl on top which will be somewhere around 600.

Should i just buy the rize 8inch instead? What are the pros and cons? Price is pretty close

How much are you looking to spend total to LIFT your truck, are you going to be installing the lift yourself or are you getting it installed?

I was planning on buying the pro comp because of the price but the more i think about the bigger i'll wanna go. So i might as well just do it right the first time.

Most likely...if i get the pro comp i'm keeping my 33's. If i go bigger i wanna jump to 37's

I'm planning on doing the lift myself... will have a shop do the body lift

Have you gone around to any local shops to see what kinda price they will give you? I know you want to do the install yourself and all, but I went to a local shop here and they quoted me a 6" fabtech w/ all the goodies for 2900 Installed/aligned. I didnt think that was too bad considering I was going to spend about 4000 buying it all off the internet and then I would still need it put on. I still plan on buying my wheels of the net, but as for the lift I will let them do it. The worst part was almost 2000 for toyo MT's, I think they said they are about 450 a peice. just something to think about though! Truck will look good anyway you go though, its the pocket book that will be hurting

What size did they quote you at $450 a piece?

I just stopped in Discount Tire to get my replacement wheel and I had them give me a price quote on a set of Toyo Open Country M/T 38x13.50R20s and it came out to $450 a piece.

It was the 35x12.50 20's. I personally thought that seemed high, I guess im going to pay a premium for the toyos when it comes down to it. The discount tires around here say they dont carry toyo?? Its either Autco Tire or FX motorsports around here. .

. . they don't carry them?

Ask them why your bud in Florida can get them from Discount Tire. All of the Discount Tires here can get you ANY tire or ANY wheel. I'd tell them to come off their high horse with a price like that for only 35s. . maybe I can get a price quote and email it to you so you can show them that I can get 38x13.50R20s for $450 a piece. I wonder how they will like that.

Man idk about Discount, I think their stock varies by location b/c they dont even list toyo around here. I have heard the place that quoted me 450 is notorious for doubling prices, but there isnt much place else around here that has the quality of work that they do. I been looking around for a better price on the toyos but i doubt it would do much for me. Ill probably just have to wait and see what i can talk them into when it comes time for the lift.
