my theme is silver and black. but from the looks of it, the chrome oem running boards would look just as good since im running the xlt rims. any opinions? thanks

 

I like black better than chrome but if the grill, bumpers and handles are chrome I would stick with the theme. Everything on my silver FX4 is color coded except the oem running boards which are chrome. If I add a bull bar, light bar or brush guard I would go black and change out the running boards to match.

 

I had Chrome when i had my Silver FX4. I also had the grill painted to match and i had the Tow Hooks Chrome Plated.

 

Well I have a Silver FX4 and went with the chrome theme (step bars,bull bar, LT handles, HD grille, wheels). I tried not to over do it and at keep some black in there also. Black trim, black with the HD grille also, powder coated my bull bar skid plate black to tie in with the lower valance,etc. New pics in my gallery if your curious. Good luck

 

That's one thing I love about Silver... you can be VERY creative with it.

Paints such as red, blue or black, you tend to want to chrome it out.
