warrantable?
I'm thinking not, but lets talk...
Going down the highway (75mph) last night when I hear this super loud "BAM" from the drivers wheel well area...WTF was that!? I say to myself... well no use looking at night, so just went to look around- theres a 4" hole in my wheel well liner and a small dent in the bottom of the big cylinder (power steering?) in the engine bay where my wheel weight turned into a projectile, rocked the liner went clear thru it...
so, warrantable or not?
Justin.

I'd say no way. It isn't a Ford factory defect, and therefore wouldn't be covered under warranty. Now what you may want to consider is going back to the place that last balanced your wheels. Weights are not supposed to fly off. So I think it has to with the way that the weights were put on. I'd go back to the tire shop that did it, and insist that they replace the damaged parts, plus re-balance your wheel.
yea, thats what i was thinking- the whole warranty situation came about as the brother is going dude, the fender liner is designed with flexibility in mind, and the liner had become brittle- it literally blew a 4" chunk out of the liner... i kept arguing no coverage, as it didn't 'fail' per se, something caused the damage... off to the tire shop monday morning...
thanks
thanks

Sorry to hear about that
