Well we met at the the stereo install shop and we both have the exact same truck, so it would be nice if his was raised as i allready ordered the parts to lower mine. This way when we happen to be in the same place, we can park side by side, and people can see our trucks at both extremes.

I wouldnt mind lifting mine, but with 2 young kids, that isnt practical, but lowering is practical for me now.

I believe the next frame should be lighter, or atleast provide the option for more power. There is a way to design a frame which is stong but light at the same time. Ford may not like the R&D and work involved, but there is a way.
I guess Ford and yourself have different values. . while you would rather have a super fast street monster drag racing truck, Ford wanted to build a truck with a 5-Star crash rating. Well, I guess they did what they wanted. .

Just curious, but have you ever been in an accident to the extent of bending a frame?

Who the eff said anything about a monster drag racing truck. All Im talking about is a street truck similiar to the Lightning, a STREET truck, you can read cant you??

And please refer to my post, where I said that it is possible to engineer a stong frame while maintaining some sort of weight diet as well. Im not sure you read my entire post because if you did you would know what Im talking about here.

Technology is out there, now whether or not Ford will utilize the technology is something different. Simply throwing raw metal at something and calling it a day wont cut it anymore. There are many many(I wont list them all for you, you can do your own research) that require some sort of wieght limit and also structural strength at the same time. And there has to be a balance between weight and power somewhere, after all power to weight ratio makes your truck move.

I think trucks look good lifted and lowered, I am just pissed that they stoped SC the harley. Why would they do that? Everyone knows the harley is well used to be SC.

It's called marketing. Ford only released the supercab version the first year, now the 2nd year they release the supercrew version. We'll probally end up seeing the supercharged version next year.

I can honestly say I am glad mine isn't supercharged. I can say that for a number of reasons. I already have enough tickets and I drive for a living, thats one biggy. I live in a climate with changing weather conditions, it goes from really hot summers to really really cold winters and I'm not sure how a supercharger would handle it. And honestly just a chip and intake gave the truck a real good kick in the pants, I couldn't ask for much more.

I didn't think so many people would be against lifting it, thats interesting. I think that the truck off Ebay looks really nice lifted, its different, not something you see everyday. I'm going to get gears aswell when I have it lifted. That should help on the fuel mileage and drivability of the truck.
