Hail storm: 1 F150: 0

And I just got the son of a bitch out of the crash shop a few weeks ago.

I took some pictures, but my camera skills are teh suxxorz, it's difficult to see the hail in the pics, but it's there; I'll upload some later tonight. Marble sized hail laid waste to my hood and roof. A friend of mine across the river in Alabama got softball sized hail that tore through the roof of his shop and busted out windows in his house.

I just can't win. I got an appointment with my insurance rep tomorrow to assess the damage.

(side note - any other mid-west Georgians or east Alabama folks out there - y'all come out okay?)

Sorry to hear about the truck, hopefully they will get you taken care of. 2 years ago we had softball to mango sized hail here in the panhandle!! it came through the roof of our house, the windows, the sheet metal on the barn and left huge craters in the ground, not to mention busted up all the trees. Luckly our cars where in the garage and had minor damage. My dodge got totaled out in a hailstorm after that though, I beleive that hail was tennis ball sized! this year alone we have already had 3 hail storms around here and lots of tornados, hopefully my truck survives this spring!

Bummer. At least you didn't get the softball sized hail too, that would have sucked even worse for you. Gotta love springtime in the south.

I need a hail storm to destroy my roof. I'd happily pay the deductable!

I was over in the Middle East we had a nice quarter sized hail storm come through. Sucks when your living in tents and that crap starts pounding away scaring the **** out if you in the desert.

Quintin,

Sorry to hear about your truck. If it will make you feel any better, Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) can be a wonderful thing in these cases. I've seen some absolutely awesome work done by these guys on hail damage. Good luck!

Ouch....nothing worse than watching your truck taking a pounding and not being able to stop it.

Hey Quintin, I'm in LaGrange and got very lucky. I was watching the Columbus news and they showed pics of golf ball and Grapefruit sized hail. Screw the truck, watch your head! Supposed to have even more bad weather roll through Saturday......Take cover, bro.

I'm in La Grange! Whoops... wrong state.

Sorry to hear about the hail Quintin... I've witnessed softball sized hail -- it's a scary sight. Fortunately, it wasn't that for you because you'd be fishing a windshield out of your front seat... none the less, I wish you nothing but the best of luck getting it all taken care of... dealing with the insurance company on issues like these typically sucks pretty bad...
