The question is why though, I would hate to see you get a new motor only to have it grenade just as this one did. .

That's what I'd be worried about. Getting it fixed is great; finding out why it blowed up is even greater.

Could be a lot of things I guess....but I think it all stems back from the injector hanging on cylinder 3 and running 16-17:1 A/F ratios for quite a few miles on bank 2. The upper ring land probably let go then and I have been driving it as usual since then causing compression gasses to get by the cylinder and destroying the other rings and finally getting down far enough where it isn't supposed to be to put a hole in the piston down near the skirt/wrist pin area.

More updates.........still no pix..... but my buddy called and apparently they sent an extended warranty inspector out to look at the engine. Of course he saw the supercharger and all, but being that I have factory roush badging on it, he thought it was a factory roush edition. So he knew the warranty was supposed to be out at 36K so he went back and talked to his ppl and ended up cutting me a helluva deal. He would pay for the complete engine, and I have to pay for labor. Not really a bad deal.....I can't complain at all. They could have said too bad too sad and went on their merry way. They also said to call the dealer and cancel the extended warranty that was around $1150 because it isn't valid anymore, so I'll end up saving that much at the end of the payment term. Truck should be done before the end of the week.......I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
