Front diff oil milky

Has anyone here checked there front diff recently? I checked mine the other day during oil change like I do every time and it looked like liquid butterscotch. Im pissed off cause I baby it and dont go through any deep water or mud for that matter and cant figure it out. My breather tube was still snugg and no sign of any leakage. I just can figure it out. Ive heard of a problem they have been having with the frontends going out in some of the newer f150s and im wondering if this is the problem and i just caught before it was to late. I very rarely even use the 4x4 for the most part i keep it in 2 wd. Any help in figuring this one out would be greatly appreciated.

I think the oil that goes in the diffs are really thick. 75-140 or something like that. i was thinking the same thing when i had to put oil in my rear diff onece a week on my xpolder due to a seal leak. Its pretty thick stuff.

The front diff's use a 80w90 fluid that is kind milky looking to start with, I don't think you have a problem.
Is this the first time you checked it?

It used to be 75w-90, now it is 75w-140.

in my owners manual it says it takes 75w-90 full synthetic gear lube. From my experience with gear oil it is really dark in color not anywhere close to being milky looking at all.

front diff is 75/90
rear diff is 75/140

its very common on alot of the newer F-150's i see come in at work. mine had not done it so i am not sure exact cause. water usually makes it milky and it will not feel like regular gear oil.
