King Shocks

Alright so I know all you guys on here know just about everything about trucks and I was wondering are the king coilovers really worth all the money?.. I mean is there a huge difference?... Whats so great about these shocks?.. This summer I am planning on doing the rize 8 inch lift with some 37's... and since im already spending all of that money on the lift im wondering would it really be worth it to do the king set up also?

Those shocks really improve ride quality! But IMO if your not jumping your truck at the dunes there not neccesary, just go with some regular aftermaket coilovers and your good

Yea your probably right... but I plan on beating the crap out of it when I go mudding.. and im planning on running some 38x15.50x20 nitto mud grapplers so this might help clear those big boys... and I plan on keeping this truck for a while so it might be worth it to go ahead and get them. Plus the bigger the better

. . you do know they are $1550 plus shipping, right? I'd love to have them but can't justify that much money, I went ahead and put Bilstein 5100s on the front. I'd rather save that money for gears.

Besides last time I checked Nitto had stopped making 38x15.50R20s. The biggest tire/wheel combination they make currently is a 37x13.50R20. I've heard they're coming out with a 40x15.50R24 though. The Nitto website isn't working for me right now so I can't check to be certain.

Yeah I realize that.. but it will probably be worth it if I will be offroading all the time... And since I have to make a 5 or 6 hour drive to get my truck lifted.. I wouldnt want to make that drive all the way back to get Kings put on.

I wonder when they stopped making them then because I have found a few websites where you can still buy them... http://www.customwheelsdirect.com/ti...ail.php?id=930

I guess for right now ill stick with the bilsteins and the 37x13.50 r20 grapplers... Ill probably just wait until those tires wear out to get the king shocks and then do a bigger setup.

Thanks Thumper!
