Kleen Wheels

I never had a problem with them, and my truck is a daily driver, I ran them for a year and a half on my 05', the wife likes hers too. So I guess that they allow enough air to the brakes.

Just hunted this one down...
I installed a set on my wheels this past weekend. After driving about 50 miles round trip for three days this week, I must say, these things *WORK*. I'm totally impressed.
Like many, I've had the concerns about premature pad wear because of not being able to 'breathe' as much as they once did... Based on my research, I've decided to put them on and, thus far, I'm very glad that I did.
My wheels LITERALLY look just about as good as they did immediately after I washed them.
I do have a few worries about how easy they'll come clean as they do have a large enough gap (albeit very small) that would allow some grit/grime to settle between the Kleen Wheel device and the OEM wheel. I definitely see the necessity for a very soft wheel brush (of which I have several). A second worry is how well the black finish holds up from a washing standpoint. If it dulls out quickly and scratches, they'll be coming off in a jiffy.
So far, so good though... we'll see.

Hey Brad, the black finish held up pretty well on my 05 kleen wheels. My wifes look just like new and they have been on for a year and a half thru Cleveland winters and road salt and the brine solution that O.D.O.T. uses.

I'm sold, so far. They have done their job thusfar.

I think a similar worry (at least in my analytical head) is the fact that there's not as much open area for brake dust to escape. In short, you'll be continually grinding some dust and thus, could create premature wear?
. . possibly but nothing a hard stop once in a while wouldn't clear away. Mini Coopers put out a immense ammount of dust, just like most BMWs, all of their dealers advise is a couple of hard stops every once in a while to get rid of the problem.
Makes sense...
Doesn't really matter I suppose... I'll be buying rotors and pads on the next change based on what I saw when I had the tires off over the weekend... LOL...
