Exclamation What is this noise??

I only hear it when I'm accelerating, for example I am doin 40mph down a road and let off the gas and there's nothing, but when I hit the gas the noise starts. I put some transmission fluid in and that helped a little but the noise is still there and it's annoying as hell.

Did you ever get your hubs replaced? . . is it more of a screeching noise than a whine? A whine makes me think it could be the front differnential but if its a screeching, it makes me think it's your hubs.

My 2004 F-150 used to make an awaful screeching noise and it ended up being the hubs. Replaced free under warranty and my truck was lifted.

This is gonna sound wierd... but i had a whine only when i accelerated as well. From the cab it sounded like fluid being pinched off. But after a few days it started making a rattle and the whine got louder. With the truck running i pin-pointed it to the front of the engine (wierd thinking it was coming from my brand new tranny). Turns out the bearing in the idler was so far gone that the pully was riding on the stud bouncing back and forth between the idler arm that holds the pully and the engine. It left a nice pretty perfect circle cut into the engine thats not very deep. Was an hour job that cost $35 for the new idler pully and arm (cant just buy the pully and bearing).

Like i said, sounds wierd, but check your idler pully bearing.

maybe its your supercharger!

can you tell anything else about it? is it a mechanical whine? maybe its the air getting sucked in your intake? i know you like to wheel you might have sucked something up in there...

edit: my moms suburban used to have like an electrical whine to it. the tech said something about the fact that it doesn't have a distributor. i don't know if that is relevant at all...

I have that same noise, I only hear it when I press the gas even lightly. Once I let of the gas it goes away, it some sort of humming kinda sounds like the tires are making that sound. I was thinking it was my tires, but now that I saw your video I know its not because I can hear your tires and that humming... Would love to know what it is

those tires sound like a freakin bomber flying over head.... I could hear the sound you are describing, but hard to pinpoint it, but maybe convertor, maybe driveshaft/u joints....

I dunno....

Hard to tell, off the top of my head I would say something in the rear diff (bearings). Especialy after checking out your gallery, how long was the rear submerged in that bog for? Hopefully it's something simple and cheap to fix. If you havent allready I would say replace the fluids in the rear diff.
Sweet ride by the way!
