Ok...What do I need?

To tow a 21ft weekend warrior? I am tired of sleeping in a tent or on someone's floor in the desert. I obviousely need a brake controller and...? I know there is a few guys on here that have toybox's and I wanna know what you have on your truck and how it pulls up STEEP grades...I wanna know everything to get my truck capable of towing a pretty good size trailer. I have seen F150's towing some huge toyboxes on the freeway and now I want one!

Example...

Gears?
Airbags?
Brake controller?
WD hitch?

Thanks guys!

Honestly I see these guys pulling big trailers and wonder how they do it? I pulled a flat bed with some quads, and water on it with a full bed of gear and my truck handled like crap. It couldn't get out of its own way and the headwinds kept making it down shift out of OD with just 33' on it. I think this truck pulls like crap and a little weight really weighs the rear down. I say fo sho gears, and air bags. My judgment might be swayed though this is the only half ton truck I have ever owned or pulled stuff with, I always used to use my dads F350 PS, with that truck you didn't even know you had a trailer on, so don't take my opinion to seriously but gears with 35's are a must.

yeah, like stated, go for gears and air bags. the bags make a huge difference in the way the truck handles the trailer weight. the rear end doesnt bounce up and down with them.

yea texas... a 21 foot toy hauler can get pretty heavy with all the water, quads, maybe even a fuel station. And fx4Jake...did you have to fabricate that bracket to work with the lift block on the bags? How much was the whole kit to work with the lift blocks? And for gears I already have 4:10 or something like that.

All you need is a 250 or a 350 PSD. Plus you can get the 4x4 that you have said you want and may soon need.

21 footer with water and quads, is starting to sound like a lot of weight.

That would be ideal but very pricey. Plus I love my F150, I have built it to just they way I want it to look and to do that with a new 250 would be outrageous! But its always in the back of my mind to trade up.
