Brandmotion Blueconnect

I am interested in the Brandmotion Blueconnect setup for handsfree phone operation. I have an 04 FX4 with the rail system. I do not have the opening in the headliner to connect to the existing wiring. Does anyone know how the Blueconnect setup connects to the 04s? Do you have to splice into the existing wiring for the dome light or is there some type of power pigtail connector that would connect to both the dome light and the Blueconnect system? Has anyone installed this system in their 04 trucks with the rail system?

if you remove the front overhead bins, you don't have a 4x6" rough opening in the headliner?? thats pretty odd...

You will only have the opening if the truck was ordered with the DVD prep package. I ordered mine that way and I have the opening and the wires up there, too.

I thought the hole was on ALL F-150's with the OVerhead Rail Sysytem. It was on all the '05/'06 models I saw at the dealer. Especially since the 4x6 hole under the front bin has NOTHING to do with the DVD player. I had the DVD Prep on my old '05 Lariat, and I had that hole which I had to cut out bigger with the template when I briefly had a DVD Player in the truck.

I should have said you will have the hole AND wires if you have the DVD prep package. Mine has wires up there and I ordered it with the DVD prep package.

Yeah, I was kind of disappointed the hole in the headliner wasn’t there. The Blueconnect looks like a pretty decent and factory looking unit. I read in another post that the hidden power supply wiring is in late 2005 and 2006 models only.

Is anyone using this setup in their 04s?
