I love my F150
After years of telling myself to "only buy what you need" and ending up with an Explorer and a 4Runner, I now wish I would have bought an crew cab a long time ago. So much more space and usability, and so far it gets about the same mileage in the real world. Only real downfall is parking it. My garage seems to have shrunk considerably.
Not so sure about the "long distance" thing though. Seats are important in that respect, and my XLT seats are terrible for me.
To be fair, my first choice would have been an 07 and up GM, they are pretty dang nice and to be honest I don't see how they could be less well-built than mine.
I do love my truck but Ford needs to get their act together on quality.
