My truck overheated after yet ANOTHER blown fuse and melted fuse holder, has to be the 15th time at least this has happened. I got 3 new CEL's. Yay.
1. P0171 System Too Lean Bank 1
2. same as above but bank 2
3. P1285 Cylinder Head Overtemperature Detected
I am most worried about the last one, I've gotten it another night when it overheated. I would let the truck cool down forever on one occasion, and 15 seconds after starting it back up and driving it would overheat again...it was rediculous.
I need a little help, anyone know what kind of damage I am looking at? If I clear them and they don't come back is the problem gone?

For the first two - did you start getting those after you added the Edge? What intake are you running? You can try to either remove the Edge or reinstall the factory intake, temperarily, to check.
For the third - the engine has a failsafe strategy for engine cooling, so it's unlikely you hurt anything, unless you repeatedly persist in hitting that point.
Address the cooling issue ASAP. Either remove the fans & install the factory unit ( EDIT - I agree with FX), spend the bux on controllers, hardwire to manual switches, get some bulletproof fuse blocks, and go over every inch of the cooling system & wiring.
2x16" fans, running & controlled properly should not cause overheating - in fact, it should be just the opposite. Plenty of folks here that have proper installs can attest to that.
You may have a problem still uncovered ... fr'example - your rad's not clogged, is it? Coolant in good shape? Stat? And so forth...
Even 1x16" fan shoud be able to cope in most conditions short of the Sahara.
Good luck & hopefully the pro's will chime in with some other ideas - I'm just guessing out loud here, bud.

well the worst you would be looking at as far as overheating damage is
burnt valves, burnt headgasket, then if you try to run it with crappy gaskets then you are looking at hydro locking situations b.c coolant will push into the cylinders....
but i wouldnt expect to see that kind of damage unless you kept driving it while it was over heated, and then the motor eventually just stalled out on its own... I dont know what kind of protection devices the new vehicles have, but older ones would keep running until it was physically impossible to make combustion anymore...

MGD, I believe you are right it probably is due to the Edge. I have the AF1 intake, and only started having this problem with the edge (took 2 weeks to pop up however). As for the fans, I am one of many who is having problems with Troyers kit. Constant melted fuses, broken controllers, etc. I should fork out the money to fix this crummy kit, but this was 3-400 when I bought it I think thats enough spending for the cooling. I'll search for a stock fan in the classifieds and just throw these in the trash.

I had a water pump lock up on me and sling the belt off in a Town Car while on a roadtest before...ten miles away from the shop.
I drove that bastard all the way back with no belt on and the temp guage pegged out to the H. Let it cool, replaced the water pump and belt and shipped it. I still see the customer that owns that car every now and then.
Fail safe cooling works. You'll be fine. You'll be even better once you throw those stupid electric fans in the trash and put the original fan back on it.

Dont trash them, just the fans them selves are about the only good thing on the kit from troyer. If you want i can talk you through how to set up your own controller like i did on mine
