Question Sell Kenwood DDX7015 for Pioneer AVIC D3?

What would you guys do? Should I

A) Stay with my Kenwood and buy a Kenwood navigation addon.

or
B) Buy the Pioneer with built in navigation?

I need navigation for my job, I love my Kenwood plus I payed $1300 when it first came out
If I do go with the Pioneer I will try and sell the Kenwood at Ebay.

I've been reading about the D3 also. Might have to pull the trigger on that one this summer. Built in Nav for that price is awesome.

You cant watch dvds and have navi at the same time with the all in one units can you? That's what I like about the Kenwoods, 2 seperate drives for that stuff. I traded my 7015 for the 8019 and so far it is badass!

I never really watched dvd's with my Kenwood so thats not a biggie for me. The Kenwood is a awesome HU, I just needed navigation.

then the d3 might be a better fit for you, if dvd video/audio playback isnt a bigg seller then the pioneer willl be just fine, I'm just glad you didn't go with eclipse for their built in nav H/U's my bro's avn-2435 was the noisiest H/U i've ever played with, about the only thing it was good for was nav, audio took a back seat

Anyone know if it will work with the rear entertainment system, since the are the OEM ford units?

The D3 has one DVD slot. It plays DVD or the Nav disc, but can't do both. The Z1 has a DVD slot and a 30 GB hard drive. You can use both, but have to defeat the lockouts if you want to watch DVDs while driving. I have the AVIC-D2 and it is really the best IMO. It has inputs for an add-on DVD player, has one CD drive that can read CD-R/CD-RW and play mp3s and it also has the DVD drive that only plays the Nav-DVD. This way, it can do Navigation even if you are listening to a CD. I don't think the D3 can play a CD and nav at the same time. Not unless it can store a route in some type of flash memory.

From what I understand, most aftermarket units will not work w/ the factory rear seat entertainment units unless you can find some type of adapter that will support the CAN bus.

I am considering the same thing. My buddy just bought the Z1 with all the add ons and it is awesome. the Ipod controls are pretty nice too.

Anybody want to buy my 3 week old Kenwood DDX-6019 with iPod adapter included?
