A/C Not cold enough.
A/C Not cold enough.
It's starting to warm up here and my A/C has never been real cold. 2006 with about 22k on the clock.
I plan to put a thermometer in one of the a/c vents and check the temps. What temp. range would Ford consider to be within normal range?

To be more specific. When I place a thermometer in the vent should the temp. be 40 - 45 degrees (just picking some #'s here for example) or X # of degrees below the outside temp?
Mine isn't that great either when it get's to be around 90 - 100 degs out, on max AC it puts out 47-54 degs. It doesn't get to 47 much, mostly 50 - 54 degs. It's not at all that cold. I plan to wait until it gets warm enought so I can show the dealer my gripe.
Mine isnt too cold either, I need to do a temp reading myself, feels likes it's blowing out in the high 50's. I know down here when i do a/c services the normal temp for a/c's is about 47-50 degrees, I've seen it get colder with a bad cycling switch but it just freezes up the condenser

Same problem here...
In Los Angeles, its during the warmest days that the AC is challenged. I thought perhaps because were pushing 100 degrees some days but my all my other cars (Wifes Miata, daughters Accord, Sons Accord, My Lexus) can still chill you out under the same circumstances
mine gets pretty frigid pretty quick. I have an 05 STX with about 44,000 on the odo. I haven't had any probs with it at all. Did you get yours at Metro or somewhere else? I have found that Northside, up in Baldwyn (the old Grisanti) or Aberdeen's techs are a little bit better about finding the problem.
Weston at Aberdeen has a good AC guy in the shop and he might be able to tell you what to look for.
Nice to see another Tupelo member around.
