Are you sure these prices are on 07's. A local dealer here is advertising 10-12K off new remaining 2006's. Right now the rebates are only 3k on 07's, and they have about 6+ months till the 08's start hitting the lot. That means the remaining 7k is coming off from the dealer. That is like 3k below invoice or x-paln. There has to be some fine print on this..

The example in the paper shows a Ford rebate of $2000, a Ford Credit rebate of $1000, and a dealer discount of $9000 (?). This is for an '07 model.

By comparison, when I ordered my '05 F-150, MSRP was $27,830 and my price before TT&L was $20,200 -- in what was a MUCH better truck market than what we have today. That's a discount of over $7000 on a truck that listed for far less than a FX4 or Lariat Screw lists for today.....

I got a call from the dodge place today (a recording) that they have all their Rams at 0% for 72 months now too (excluding Cummins Diesels of course). I wish I could combine the $10K off and the 0%...I would have a brand new truck tonight!

Well I stopped at the dealer I normally use, the one that sent me an e-mail about trading my truck in. I had browsed their lot a couple of weeks ago and they had the perfect truck, in the color with the exact options I would want (With the exceptions of the chrome running boards, I like the black ones.).

Anyhow, so I went up there and they still had it, so I told the internet guy to write up some numbers. It turns out I qualify for the x-plan, which was about $100 below invoice. They offered an additional $3000 in rebates which brought the price down to $34,500.00. The sticker price was $41,500, so I got about $7000 off sticker. Now like everyone said, they rape you on the trade in, they only wanted to give me $17,000 for my truck.

So I had to decline, just the difference that I would have to add to my new loan would kill the fact I was getting a decent deal on an awesome truck. So I had to tell the dealer thanks for his time and that was that. I did ask him if he knew what the $10,000 deal was, he mentioned that you had to get specific models and package combinations. I can understand that, but the commercial did say "ANY" 07 F-series, so I dunno. Anyhow, I think I will just stick with my 04.

Thats what was thinking was going to happen for anybody that actually goes in to try to get this $10k off. Just not going to happen YET for a nicely equiped truck that is in demand. That and it isn't even April yet. I looked at one of the dealerships that were posted earlier and their lot is full of 07's with MSRP's around 28k. Sounds like a sweet deal if you want a XL.

I originally bought my 05 FX4 SCREW for $9500 off too, but that was in late 4/05 right before the employee pricing took off. Right time, now wouldn't be that easy.

I called Tomball Ford to see what the deal was. The $12,000 applies to 4 trucks only that they have on clearance and they are 2007 models. The rest of the trucks they are taking between $8,000 and $10,000 off. The models with the 4.6 have the greatest discounts according to the salesman.

Hope this helps shed some light!

Matt

Forgot to mention that when I got 9500 off MSRP it was for XLT models only!!! I originally wanted the higher model. But with 9500 off I got other options to sweeten my deal.

Yes we would have got the rebate on top of the X-plan. But with the dealer matching the $3k rebate with another $3k the deal was better.

Ok guys, so you think is not easy to get those types of discounts on a 07 fx4 SC loaded?
Even impossible to order one and get also those discounts.

Is this only possible on trucks that are in the actual lots?

I ordered one that the sticker was 42170 and the total price is 35001 so the total saving is 7169.

Could it be possible if I wait til summer or a little bit more I can get more than that?

Well that sounds to be comparable to what I got quoted today at the dealership. The 07 FX4 SuperCrew (All black) I was looking at was totally loaded, luxury package (Painted handles, mirror caps, and grill),FX2 headlights, 20 inch wheels, sunroof, reverse sensors, everything except the Nav unit. And they offered it to me for $34,500, but it was on the lot.
