Here is how I mounted my Whelen. It sits in the lower gap in the bumper. Gives it a nice, clear path.

I ordered a floor console from car-parts.com and installed it yesterday. All of the switches, sirens, and radios will be mounted within this console. Here are a few pics of the install.

What the floor looks like prior to the install

The new console

The 12 volt plug from the new console (make sure you plug this in first.)

After removal of the cupholders. This allows you to see the pre-drilled holes for mounting.

Also here is a pic of the toughbook mounted.

(the wires hanging around are from the siren and are only temporary.)

Where did you find that console? I went to the site but it is not listed. I would love to replace the flip up one I have with one of those.

Go to car-part.com and where it says part go to Interior Panels/Misc and just start running through those pages.

Good luck.

No sir, the switches and siren will be mounted inside the console itself. Like a rack system.

1 Magnetic Mount VHF antenna
1 Delta Toolbox
1 Magnetic Mount UHF antenna

Why go Magnetic when you got a good ground on that toolbox.

I was trying to avoid an antenna of that size. I am looking for concealment more than anything else. I bought the VHF antenna whip last night. I will post a pic of what it looks like.

BTW, SWEET radio!

No, the lid will still be there and functional. Upon opening the lid, the switches, siren, and radio will be concealed and fully accessible.

Installed the VHF antenna today. Using a Maxrad Whip, and a motorla mini UHF magnetic mount.

Here is the install on the antenna through the third brake light.

Install is ridiculously easy

1. Remove the two screws from the third brake light.

2. After removal of the screws, the light should pop right out revealing the headliner.

3. Reach in CAREFULLY into the headliner and pull the cord through slowly. Should come out in this general area.

4. Re-install the brake light and route the cord to the middle of the brake light. (There is a little indentation within the light that will facilitate this.)
