Well I had no issue returning that alt. to Autozone. Used for almost 1 month, they returned it for full cash refund! I never expected that. I will be using them more often with customer service like that.

 

sorry to bump an old thread. i have the same code, P0622. only thing different is that i have no warning light illuminated on my dash. i do have an aftermarket lightning alternator installed on the truck. it was part of a package for the L swap. truck seems to run properly aside from my issues in the thread titled "truck is down" in this engine forum. any help here or on that thread is greatly appreciated.

 

My stuff ran fine too, but the aftermarket alternator is most likely the issue. Someone posted a while back how these trucks only like alts. with a certain diode inside. He noted he went through 3 different aftermarket alts before he found a proper one. Try a search for alternator issues.

 

my battery light is on but no codes after a napa alt, gonnacheck the fuseable link if its not that im headed to ford for an alt then throwing that alt through napas window

 

I'm having the same problem with my 2004 I replaced battery, and the alternator with motircraft an it charges intermittently. Same codes you have and all my wires are good
