Did I buy a lemon?
the transmision "thud" might just be the torque converter locking up. Mine does that when I do what you do... around 40-42 mph on a level surface is when your lockup occurs. Play with it a little and see if that is what it is.

Any one know the TSB for the reflash for the trans thud? I was told it was in between gear and at the speed didn't know what gear and that is the cause
sorry i dont know man, maybe just get an edge? i know that i could do that with the tranny in my 98 and my moms 95 yukon too though, if you mash on it and let go and then get on it again you can get it to shift weird
There is a TSB for the driveline thud. It's going to involve silicone grease on the output shaft. They'll need to inspect it first. If they see metal shavings, the driveshaft gets replaced. Seriously doubt a reflash will take care of that, as it's a mechanical issue. As for ticking, or a diesel sound, it should not do that when cold. Per the TSB, it is the phaser if it does it when hot. My '04 is very quiet when cold, but sounds like a mini diesel when hot. The wiring stuff can be fixed easily by the dealer; same with the back window. BTW - they can sit for more than a week without use and still work,
