As for the comparisons, a couple of points.
All the magazines sell advertising ( maybe a little less so in PM, I don't know) , so every manufacturer gets their turn. We stopped looking at 'bike or jet ski of the year' a long time ago and bought what works for us.
Secondly, why's everyone comparing to Ford, hmm? Everyone wants a piece and would love to knock 'em out of first for the full size trucks. I've seen several new Tundras on the road. I don't like the look. I know they perform and all, but it's not the truck that at the end of the day, in my driveway, I wanna see for 6 - 10 years of ownership. Obviously, just my opinion.

I have had a 93 Silverado, 96 Ram, 01 RT Durango, a 01 F150, and my 04F150. I have to say that my 04 is the best riding vehicle that I have ever had. It doesnt have the power that my RT 360 Durango had, but it rides better and gets 5mpg more. After I added my cai and exaust its got plenty of power, and when I get and edge I am sure it will perk it up even more. I too get tire of people ******* F-series. They must be feeling sorry for the competitors.
Owning a '99 F150, '00 Dakota, and now a '07 F150 again... nothing touches the Ford in my eyes. Sure, like ferguson41 said, some of the Dodges are fast, like my '00... but there is no way comparable to the F150.... even the 1500 is no comparison.
I like that ad with the F150 being able to haul as much as two Silverado's combined. I betcha GM is ticked about that.
Oh, before I forget... since there are soooo many F150's out on the road, and there are only some many people on this forum... there are so little problems for how many F150's there are out on the road by figuring the ratio of problems compared to people on the forum.
Just face it, the F150 WILL and DOES outlast all manufacturers hands down. Don't buy an imitation... buy the REAL thing.
Check out some of those other forums... do a google. You will find that there are more problems with those other trucks.
Mind you, the Ford F-Series is the MOST used vehicle for emergency use because of a reliability standpoint. I wouldn't put a Chevy or a Dodge in my emergency fleet if it was going to save a person's life. As all I ever see where I live are Ford E350s, F250, F150s, and F350s used as emergency vehicles.
