You don't happen to remember a part number do you?

It means that both front wheels will be pushed out 3/4" on each side so take that into consideration. Didn't you say you wanted to get the Helo Maxx 6s? I had the 18x9 Helo Maxx 6s on my last F150 and they stuck out perfect. Most wheels have options for the backspacing so find your wheel and than decide on what backspacing is right. I don't think you have to worry too much about rubbing with 35s especially since you don't have fender flares, that seems to be another deciding factor if they'll rub or not.
Yeah I will be ordering the Helo Maxx 6's in the 18x9. Do you remember what your backspacing was when you had them? Also what was your suspension setup at the time (8" or 6" lift)?

Seriously though, upgrade your gears, you'll thank me later!! I was about to upgrade to 4.88s when I wrecked my truck so I need to save that up again. I'm working on it though!
I don't know anything about the gears so I wouldn't even know what to order to be honest.

I don't have a part number on me, but you can do a search and find it. Just call the place that I gave you and tell them what you're looking for and they will be able to help you without a problem.

I think the backspacing was 5-1/2" of backspacing, I'm not 100% positive though. I had a 4" Rancho + 1-1/2" Autospring and a larger block in the rear.

The gears you need to find a shop around your area to do the work. It shouldn't be too hard, just ask around or look in the phone book. It will be worth it, trust me!

Thanks, I'll do some digging around possibly tomorrow on shows that may be able to do the gears.

Also is adding a steering stabilizer recommended when adding a lift and larger tires? I have heard it is and that was also one of the items I was looking at adding.

I'd wait until you get the lift installed and see how it rides. No sense in adding the steering stabilizer if you don't need it, it'll just put more strain on your steering system. PM me though, I've got one sitting in my garage.

No, in the Navy, going on 21 years now.

Thanks for the advice, I'll wait and if I decide to go that way I'll definitely get in touch.

So far really looks like this is what I'll definitely be ordering;

6" Fabtech basic kit with 5" blocks (started giving some thought to the 7" CST, but alot more $$$ for only 1 more inch of lift)

18x9 Helo Maxx 6's (still trying to decide on backspacing though)

325/65r18 Nitto Terra Grapplers

Xcal II with Troyer tunes or would you guys recommend the Livewire?

Alarm system (which is the best? Viper?)

Other strong possibilities are;

Exhaust (what is the best? Magnaflow?)

Air Intake (S&B? AF1?)

If you could only get one (exhaust or intake) which would it be?

Gears

jawjaboi - Your truck has just the 6" Fabtech lift with 2" blocks and an AAL in the rear to level it out correct? What size AAL do you have & where did you get it?

I can't really remember the size...it's like 2"-3". Don't remember the name brand (I'm thinking Super Springs) and I just looked at my receipt (from last October) and it wasn't on there. All I know it was $321 installed. A local off-road shop installed it for me. Sorry.

jawjaboi - Thanks for the response.

Alright guys looks like I will be doing all my ordering tomorrow, although it looks like it'll be a long day at work so may have to wait until Tuesday when I can actually call customer service at some of these places I am considering ordering from.

Anymore input as to what I should definitely be adding to the truck? Also looking for a little input to some of my questions 3 posts above. Thanks and I am excited that this is finally gonna happen.

You might want to think about getting the Dirt Logic 2.5 coil overs for the front. The basic Fabtech Kit doesn't come with them, but you can pay a little more for that upgrade. Just something to think about.

Honestly I would like to go with the coilovers, but my truck will never see the offroad, so I can't justify the extra $500 that the coilover kit is over the basic kit. Plus I am on a limited budget to get everything I want so that $500 will be put to better use getting an Xcal II with Troyer tunes.

Any opinions as far as alarm, exhaust or intake systems?

Thanks

Do yourself a HUGE favor and when you call up Troyer Performance, ask them which intake and exhaust would compliment the Xcal2. They have tested/dyno'd alot of systems on these F150's and they'll be able to steer you in the right direction. Don't forget to tell them you're a member on here too. Discount $$$.

Yeah I'm really thinking about going with their stage 1 kit which includes all three (Xcal, intake & exhaust). I really want a few other items such as an alarm system, new grille and LT handles, but if I went with the stage 1 it would eat up pretty much whats left after ordering the lift, wheels, tires & factoring in the installation costs. I gotta decide between performance and esthetics.

I know what you mean about eating up your funds but look at it this way - You're going to be moving to Hawaii, right? When you're shopping around for prices on what you want to buy now and what you want to buy later on, factor in the shipping costs and shipping time to HI. I'd be willing to bet it'll be cheaper to ship an alarm, LT handles, Grilles, etc. - than it will to ship an exhaust system, full intake system, etc. . Again, just something to think about.

I have thought about that, I know it's probably alot cheaper to add those other things one at a time rather than an exhaust or an intake. How much would install of an intake and exhaust cost?
